In the thumbnails of your gallery it stands out from all others like a diamond lying on black velvet. At least I think so. The elf looks natural there under the tree, as if he's in some way communing with it. I wish I could see the details better in the whole picture (yes, I did see the detail of the elf) One thing I noticed is that the glimpses of the tree's trunk are too thick. Halfway up the tree, the trunk would be thinner, unless it's a very different kind from the ones on earth... The picture in it's entirety is extremely beautiful, you've donme a great job here! Santiago Iborra replies: "Well, it is different from the ones on earth, but that's just an excuse I've noticed that too. This was my first full tree, and though I did it not so long ago, I would do it different now, not only that upper trunk, but also the leaves, and the grass. Thanks for the comment! And that thing about a diamond on black velvet was touching, really "

Santiago Iborra replies: "Get up, this is embarrassing... As Holger, a fellow Elfwooder and Santharian said (or better wrote) not long ago, I just cheat, because I spent a lot of years drawing and that's not fair "

| 2 Apr 2003 | Richard Miller | Loading...Out of the hundreds of pictures I've seen this is the first of it's type. It has a colonial feel to it. Beautiful. Santiago Iborra replies: "Thank you! If there is a colonial feel it was unintended, I must confess my total ignorance about colonial art. But glad you like it anyway. " | |
