According to a belief among the Firemountains Dwarves, the rain that falls after a battle are the teardrops from the gods. Deeply moved by the courage of the dwarven warriors, they forgive any fault they could have comitted up to that day. For a dwarf punished to be part of a Dead Flag, a suicide group of warriors, rains means a lot at the end of a battle.

This is a first b&w drawing, the colour version will be for the Gallery of Souls at Epilogue, where artist upload fantasy self-portraits, but I like it as it is now, so I upload this version too. My face is that of the dwarf, just in case there's any doubt.

Hi, Santiago! You know, this is one of your best artwork (at least in my opinion2 A glimpse on the detailed battlefield is a dramatic scenery and the portrait is great. I wish I could say it better, but I can't2
I like this version a little bit better than colored one - because of the expression of the dwarf's face. On the colored version he looks like he is just emptied by the battle, but here he looks like he is sore, but ready to chop off a couple more of ugly orcish heads - and this is kind of more like dwarfs I know 2

The head is done very well. The hands are done very well. The torso is done very well. But you could do a far better job when you put them together. Try again and it will truly be a masterpiece.

I like how you did the rain. It looks real. This whole thing looks realistic. Very nice.

I disagree with the comment by 'Old Wolf' - Dwarves body's have different ratios than human bodies. Instead of turning
away from the next human dwarf you see in the street, study
(not impolitely, of course) them. You will see a distinct
difference in limb positioning on dwarfs.

And its cool.

Itīs so great how you did all those different armors, weapons and bodies lying mixed up at the ground. And everything looks so real, it must have taken a long time to draw a picture like that. And I think this black and white version is also much better than the coloured one. The colours looks somehow unreal.

I love this, truly but the head looks too big for the body. Perhaps a down ward look wasnt' such a good idea.

**You have captured that after the battle despair.****

forgot:
I really like his armour! And you caught the moment like a wizard who froze the scene!
And the little warrior looks so tired... did he drop his axe? *sympathy's rising!!*

ooooohhh... hey really... this is wunderful! Please give me a little piece of you talent, man! 1 No, really, this is you masterpiece. All those details, the different faces, the weapons, it is a picture of how I imagine big wars of ancient times! In within all this stands this little fellow...

Wow, you have a knack for drawing metal, it's easy to imagine all those pieces clanging together. Great view you've chosen as well.
