Only things I might throw out as an idea for your next 'taur would be that a bit more musclature of his chest/shoulders be shown, and his legs - to me anyway
- appear a bit thin.
Only major storyline I can think of at the moment that treats Minotaurs as people are those in the "Dragon Lance" series with Kaz, the Minotaur, and in the other books by Knaack.

Mythology, of any land, was never meant to make "common" sense, but rather poetic or "religious" sense. Robert Graves’ "The White Goddess" will give you some feeling for poetic myth and its interpretations. A necessity for anyone wanting to understand ancient mythic art forms.
