Sarah Fogg

Sarah Fogg

Sarah was totally born in the wrong decade

I'm an 18-year-old student from England, greatest country on earth! Except Canada, and maybe Japan... and should I say British Isles so it includes Ireland, Scotland and Wales which are also great? Anyway! I like many many cartoons, anime and manga, classic comics (DC, Marvel etc.), reading (mostly fantasy), and Ballet, so don't knock Ballet anywhere on this gallery! Ballet rocks!

If you comment, please use good english, that means don't abbreviate words to numbers, or use things like 'ppl'. And please read the descriptions if you're going to comment... because direct misinterpretations are really irritating.

Update: yet more older pictures (and a couple of new ones) deleted, and a few much newer pictures added.

Interests
Reading (especially Chris Wooding), art, ballet... recently I've got really into modern history (I used to be into anyhting before the Victorian era).
Favorite Fantasy/Scifi Movies and TV Shows
I adore The Dark Crystal and Dune, along with cute fantasy anime like Kiki's Delivery Service. My favourite fantasy television programme is definitely Supernatural though.
Favorite Fantasy/Scifi Books
Poison, The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray, the braided path trilogy, the Spiderwick Chronicles... too many to list really.
Favorite Music
film scores, I love them. I also love Debussy and Elgar.

My Dad decided he’d go outside with a torch and see the amount of tiles that had fallen off the roof, and I just gave him a look and told him ’if it is tiles falling off the roof, d’you really think going outside is a good idea?’. And the I yawned and said as a joke ’maybe it was an earthquake. now go back to bed.’

Though, I’ve never really felt an earthquake that strong before, and I used to live near San Fransisco. Well, nevermind. An earthquake in England only happens once in a blue moon, if that. So how’re things in your life?

2 Sarah Fogg replies: "We actually get a fair few earthquakes in Britain, just most are such low magnitude that humans don’t notice. As for my life, we’re just about to start our final projects on the foundation course, so I’m quite worried."

:-) Sarah Fogg replies: "That would be my fanart profile."

Have you ever done fan art for Fruits Basket?

:-) Sarah Fogg replies: "Once or twice, not regularly. I’m not interested enough in it to do fanart, I just read it."

Thank you so much for the tag!!
I like the way you draw. I expecially like your "poison writing" - it has got atmosphere and the shading really makes the picture stand out. I also like the "Mischief" - the expression of the charater is really cute. 1

2 Sarah Fogg replies: "Thanks very much! It’s nice of you to come and visit, thanks for your kind comments."

Sarah, you have some really wonderful work here and very varied. Fairy girl is my favourite but I have a thing about fairies! I particularly like the pics where you have put deeper shading in and while your style suits minimal shading, I think some of your art would be even more stunning if you put some more tonal variation in. Keep up the great work!

2 Sarah Fogg replies: "Thanks very much, I’ve been trying out a lot of darker shading techniques so I’m glad to hear that they’re turning out well. Thanks for the helpful comment!"

Hello! I figure most Elfwoods denizens like fantasy, so I’m just stopping by to drop a comment about Black Jack O’Breen. ’Tis the tale of a rogue who returns to his homeland because fae have taken his brother. If you’re curious, Check out:
