| Drawing on inspiration from a bonfire once held at night, not so long ago, I wrote this poem on the elements and their interaction in the universe. |

Flames
The light of day captured in the night,
The fire’s light burning bright,
The golden dust on inked blue skies,
The sun’s quiet hissing sighs.
Ribbons dance ‘round wooden poles,
The Earth sent to the sky above,
Water dries from living souls,
The air keeps dancing on for love,
Of the joyous music,
Of death and life,
Of the night star,
dancing in Earth’s moonlight.
