Tag As FavoriteComment		2004-12-24: I suppose most of you have experienced it. You have ordered something that is to be given away as a gift, and then it doesn’t arrive as planned. This is a result of one of these occasions. It was Christmas Eve (yes, Swedes do get their Christmas presents on Christmas Eve) and my brother’s book hadn’t arrived. I made a card telling it would come. It started out as a bird – yes, I have a thing for stylised birds – but turned into some kind of monster instead. I guess that the balance of the pattern demanded front legs... The odd white area is where the text was. It wasn’t that interesting.

Original: watercolour on pencil under-drawing, on hand-made paper (linen-based). 10*15 cm.

Back to the topic! What is it; A bird? No; A...thingy..

It feels so...so... mediaeval! Like one of all the animals people sketched around maps and..stuff. yeah, I know. I don't know what I'm talking about. But I do like it. The legs are just rightly placed, gripping the frame. Really, really nice. I suspect that that brother of yours also got to be very happy even for this card. =)

Pretty bird! It looks almost like a feathered dragon, or perhaps a griffin. I like it.
