Sara do update every now and then.

Welcome to my hidden corner, off the main roads of Elfwood!

I'm a 28-year-old Swede, currently living in Kalmar in Southern Sweden.

Since I do more or less exclusively what I would call "low fantasy" and what Elfwood these days calls "not fantasy at all", updates here aren't as frequent as they once were. My gallery att Deviantart is updated with everything, and occasionally I remember that this account still exist. If there is the occasional pointy ear in the picture.

Interests
drawing, larping, writing
Favorite Fantasy/Scifi Movies and TV Shows
I've recently discovered Serenity/Firefly. Apart from that I watch SciFi/Fantasy movies and TVshows just to have something to do while sewing or adding the final touches to a drawing.
Favorite Fantasy/Scifi Books
The Book of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe, more or less anything by Neil Gaiman. And Tolkien's always a favourite.
Favorite Music
Folk music, anything from Baroque and backwards. And the odd tunes I stumble over.

Once more Sara, I have to say:-
a)that I do like your new material
b)sorry for not contacting you in so long.

:-) Sara M Osth replies: "*smiles* Thank you. There should be more coming, I'm in the process of updating right now. And don't worry, there's no need. "

I came to your pictures and this place on internet
through a comment on webblogg in "vennegoors" blogg,
leading to "stillme" bloggi (Fanny) where a comment and
one of your drawings was publiziced 18th of May.

How come you are doing an education to become
a forester, when you are so good at drawing?

or is it like me and my music - drawing is a hobby,
working with would take away the joy?

I like your pictures very much!
Keep up the good work 2

cu!

:-) Sara M Osth replies: "Now, isn't internet a wonderful thing? I really like to be told how people found their way here, it's always equally fascinating.
And as for my education, I think you're about right: it would take away the fun, for a start, and I don't have the ambitions and talent to make it my living. Besides, this way I can draw whatever I like. But I always appreciate when people like what I'm doing. Thanks again!"

Well hello! I just found some time to sit down and take it easy, so I thought I would stop by and look at your paintings. And I have one word for you, wow! They are fantastic! Absolutely fantastic!

:-) Sara M Osth replies: "Thank you very much! I'll be back in your gallery every now and then, in order not to miss updates!"

My apologies for the late visit. Times are rough. With that aside though I wanted to pop by and see what sorts of work you have.

I'm very fond of the water color work, you have a firm control of design and flow - although anatomy in some places gets dodgy. I don't have any set one critique for you any more than just the standard "keep hitting it". I know it's cliche but it's true - the more you keep practicing the more you will refine what you already know. Keep up the good work, I really like what you have 2.

I have stopped by here many times, but I don't think I have ever put a comment here... Hmmm... Well, I really like your style anyway, and I really look forward to see more of your pictures, keep up the good work!

Well?

22 Sara M Osth replies: "What? Didn't I tell you? Well, my version of our beloved dandy wasn't considered fantasy. Hence, he was more or less the reason why I now have a gallery at much less userfriendly deviantART. Link in my bio!"

How wonderful, not just a photo of you but a lovely selection of your art work. How do you manage to do everything, and all of it so well...Christine

Just passing by. I was in the neighbourhood, so...
Well, I am in here in a regular basis, but that's not the point... *pulls himself together* Ahem.

I enjoy looking at what you produce and always look forward to what comes up next. Keep it up, Sara.

Woho. I actually pulled myself together and wrote a comment!

25 Sara M Osth replies: "Thanks. Cookie for you, as always."
8 Feb 200845 Cinaed
Viewing these pictures really brought back memories from older days when i played Cinaed on syskonskapet. Good old memories. Almost so i wish to go back to play again, but other duties calls.

Hope you update more pictures since you seem to have the "gene" for drawing, which i hope will not be wasted. 2

:-) Sara M Osth replies: "Oh, a ghost from the old days. Glad to see you’re still around. I have to admit I play a lot less frequently at Syskonskapet nowadays, too. This "having a life"-business is really a bad thing. Shev’s married by now. I wish I could say she holds Cinaed in fond memory, but alas... *grins*"

Hello Sara! I browsed through your galley yesterday and I saw a lot of pieces that I really enjoyed. I particularly like your sense of anatomy, which is very good, and you also have a good perspective and action in your drawings.
I really adore your Calligraphy and "medieval artwork", they are stunning.
I’d love to learn how you do them! 1
//Anton

:-) Sara M Osth replies: "Thank you very much! I’m glad some of my old stuff still has its values.

As for the calligraphy, I’ve never been a good calligrapher per se - I’m lefthanded, and too lazy to do it properly, so I mostly copy what I see in a font. As for the illuminations, it’s mostly about patience 2"
