SciFi and Fantasy Art Shadow by Sascha Frank

Well, I'm not exactly sure what to say about this one. I wanted to draw something that's dark, demonic and dangerous. Lethal in a kind of twisted sense, something that kills in the dark. Kind of a shadow demon. And I had to notice that my drawing skills did not really suffice to picture this. Maybe a black background and some people to donate the dripping blood would have helped, but it's still not really what I originally had in mind. Still, it was a good exercise in shading and using colored pencils, and maybe some constructive criticism might help... (yeah, that means you! Go right ahead and leave a comment! ;) )

Look dude i like your pic a lot and if you make a creature just like this one only with hands ( and fingers ) and the 'swords' are ejecting from some kind of gloves it would rock even more i will donate my blood if i am not correct !!!

I Am hoping to get an art page up on elfwood too, so i understand how difficult shading...etc. can be in a drawing.You did really well on the light/shadow effects. its very good. i suggest you try a couple more "dark" drawings and see if you like that type of style, you never know where your drawings might take you.
