SciFi and Fantasy Art Ashainmi and Niang by Sasha ´Sushi´ Kansons

For some reason, this feels like the first pic I've done for myself for ages. O,o;; Go figure. Anyways, Ashainmi is the wolfish 'taur (a Welphie female), and Niang is the massive serpent (a Ské, aka scaled, Kiforn). They're the two main characters of an upcoming untitled novel of mine, set on their races' homeworld of Thaizi.

While I didn't have an exact scene in mind, one seems fitting now: After finding her parent (who had previously vanished mysteriously), Ashainmi returns to her clan, only to find that after months of traveling the wilds with Niang, she doesn't feel like she belongs there anymore. Niang, on the other handpaw, has lived his life restlessly, always searching for a purpose, a meaning; he traveled with her after saving her life, having nothing better to do. Now, Ashai returns to Niang's side, walking staff in hand, and tells him that she finally understands how he feels -- ever searching, but never finding.

15 Mar 2004	Kaysan	Loading... first comment dance! Again! ^_^ I just LOVE Ashainmi's coloring! schmeegles and gets conked on her noggin by that staff Oi. Anyway. I wish I could draw reptiles. Snakes especially. Their head-shape and how it connects with its neck/body escapes me. A small shidbit of criticism for Ashai. The position her right arm in looks painful. o.O;; I realize it's possible but boy, it doesn't look very comfy. And her legs look a little short. Maybe. And then again, maybe I just like long legs. =P All in all, good job Sushi!
