Can't see your pictures now, not sure if its Elfwood or my internet connection. Will check again.

Check out Artrage, its a digital painting app that simulates natural media like oil or watercolors or other media, I don't remember all the media. Comes in a free or cheap version for Macs and PCs. There is Painter which is a more powerful digital painting app but its more expensive. Make sure you have a graphics tablet (Wacom) or you won't really be taking advantage of the apps.
