Such a fleeting moment of happiness. No boundaries, no strings attached, no betrayers or fear. Only a loving heart could find a home for a murderer, even one who has killed angels.

Inspired by characters from the :devtenebra-club:, Melakim, the ex-angel hunting Nephalim and Foahyn, a angelic scholar sent to help guide and teach the people of the mortal realm. I wanted to try my hand at something more romantic and mature and this is the result.:heart:

I love the hair, especially the guy's (who is he anyway? the murderer, i presume?) one thing: the woman's mouth seems... i dunno... a bit too dark, or pronounced or something? just doesn't look entirely natural. very well-drawn pic, however! Angela R. Sasser replies: "The guy is Mae (Melakim), and yes he is the murderer in this picture^^ You can read more about him here:http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/art/s/a/sasser/biography_melakim1.jpg.htmlI can see how the lips would be too dark. It was a challenge to try and make them look flushed since women's lips do grow a bit darker when they're uhm....excitedXD Perhaps I made them too dark? Those lips were always a big challenge throughout the entire process of the pictureX_X"

11 Jun 2005	Justine A. Smith	Loading... Beautiful! I adore the fact you avoided so many artistic cliches, especially the fact that we don't all have the exact same tone of skin. Your renderings of anatomy is brilliant, and your attention to detail is astounding. When I looked a little closer I see you even have faint shadows for where the hair meets the body of the angel. It's a magnificent piece. The only nit-pickeable thing I can find is perhaps the backgroud, that could have been possibly done with a little more care, but it's really minor to the point of insignificance.

I couldn't understand where the murderer was.. then I realized the angel is wrapping her wing around the murderer!! Other than that mis interpretation.. absolutely lovely picture!! Don't see too many well ahem love scenes around here..

11 Jun 2005	Trevor Mathis	Loading... Hmmm why does each one of the characters have only one wing? Are the both murderers embracing one another? Or is one the murderer and the other simply the other half of a whole. Kind of a good side bad side thing? At anyrate I really like the artwork and details in this one. I agree that the nipple does look off but I think the woman's mouth is judt fine maybe she's just wearing dark lip stick or something. Angela R. Sasser replies: "lol that dern nipple will be the death of meXD I at first had the nipple too central, but then my friends suggested that I move it to the side since she's lying down and her breasts are somewhat large so they would sorta flop to the side.Both wings are actually hers. She just has one stretched out to wrap around him. Melakim's wings are actually made of shadow and dont appear unless you've REALLY made him angry. 12 Jun 2005	Simi Landau Muffin Queen	Loading... Just to add my bit, the nipple does look fine. I love the wings, too; once I actually looked at the picture, not just glanced at it, I could tell that both the wings were hers. The one wrapped around the guy/the murderer/Melakim is placed a little too awkwardly to be his anyway, yeah? I also really like the hair, the style is wonderful. Congrats on Mod's Choice!
