Isn't she just beautiful? Yes, it's a SHE... :-) Haven't you noticed her silky beard? In our roleplaying system, female dwarves have beards too.

I just love her beard. I even used the search tool to find the female bearded dwarves of Elfwood and there are much too few! (Of course, some of the pictures just labeled "dwarves" might be female - with dwarves, you can never be sure...)

Have you ever read Feet of Clay by Terry Pratchett? The new recruit in the Watch is a female dwarf named Cheery Littlebottom (smirks)

Yay! A bearded dwarven lass. She must be popular with her men-folk. This is the first female dwarf with facial hair i've seen, i love it! She would look so pretty with braids and gems in her beard.

Actually there are [at least] three alleles for the facial/body hair gene: the common (dominant) one which requires dihydrotestosterone to be expressed; a less common recessive allele which is insensitive to testosterone/dihydrotestesterone, and a rather rare one which does NOT require either testosterone hormone to be expressed. It is sufficiently rare that I don't know what its dominance relationships are, or if they are actually known. Girls blessed with this allele [boys, too] will grow beards/body hair along with ther scalp hair in infancy, and continue with it as adults. Percilla Lautner was probalby blessed this way; if you have seen pictures of her, you'll know how beautiful the result can be.

** I don't know about other series. But in Dragonlance the dwarf women don't have beards. They have long sideburns. Please draw more dwarves.***

This is a great picture but female dwarves just should not have beards. Oh well just my preference.2
