Joel M. Schmidt

I am an aspiring author who is trying to find focus and inspiration to write in what little free time I posess.  Up to this point most of what I've written has included a few short sci-fi stories, the beginnings of a fantasy novel, and the lyrics to a few songs for a friend's band.  I write because I love to create, and writing is one of the greatest tools I have to make and share the things that rattle around in my imagination.  Apart from writing, I have a few other hobbies.  I live to play the game of soccer.  I can't describe it's meaning for me, but I have written about it;  I am also a die-hard Nebraska Cornhusker fan, and I'v written about that, too.

Any and all successful work I upload on this proflie must bring credit to my high school lit teacher Mr. Bruening, and my english prof, Professor Roebke.  They have guided my growth as an author, and have taught me a lot about writing.
