Robert Jordan is really good too, but his books are super long. I was tricked into starting them  They divided the first one into two parts, and I didn't know that there were really 10 others, all at least 600 pages long. But after I read the first one I couldn't just stop, so here I am. Have you read Garth Nix, Gerald Morris, Eoin Colfer, Madeline L'Engle, Roald Dahl, Brian Jacques, or Nancy Springer? They are simple, but many times, if you miss one of these, the book or story just isn’t what it could be! Don’t be afraid to describe in depth of what you see. Your readers don’t know your world.
