03.01.03 - I'm 22 years old and am a senior in college. Horror of horrors: to be a college senior and still have no idea what the hell I'm going to do with myself after I graduate! Luckily I'm double majoring in Literature and Philosophy (both BA), so I should be able to bullshit my way though just about any job out there. Really colleges should just offer a BA in BS. I mean, call it what it is!
As far as my artwork goes, which is presumably why you're here, I used to take art classes in high school (Studio Art I & II, Comic Illustration II, and Portfolio Development). I'm not taking any more art classes now, mainly because I don't like Studio Art and that's basically the only thing I've seen offered. Plus I don't plan on ever drawing professionally for two reasons. 1) I don't think I'm good enough, and 2) I don't think I would enjoy art any more if I were doing it for a living. I find it very hard to part with my drawings, especially the good ones, since I put so much work into them.
As for inspiration, I get it almost everywhere. My drawings are almost always based off the characters and events of the story I'm writing at my website--
Oblivion--called 'Remembrance,' which is in turn somewhat influenced by whatever I happen to be obsessed with at the time: Music (a lot of music), anime, tv shows, movies, books, historical figures. Pretty much any medium you can think of, I've ripped off an idea and distorted it to some degree. I'm shameless, I know.
Alright, on to the art! And please leave comments. They make me feel special. And they're usually very helpful. I always appreciate CONSTRUCTIVE criticism
Oh and BTW, I would recommend viewing in Netscape, or perhaps IE. I finally figured out that it's not the internet in general that hates my drawings; it's just the AOL browser.
