SciFi and Fantasy Art Athena with Owl by Marcela Wander

This picture isn't up to my usual standards, but I still think it should be included in my gallery. Even though I hate that the owl turned out so cartoon-ish, I still think it's pretty cute. This was done entirely on the computer, in Photoshop, which explains some of the things it's lacking, like a basic structure or proportions. Anyhow, I like the fact that the goddess is faceless, it just enhances the mystery behind her. I was particuarly pleased with her aegis, with the goatfur and Medusa emblem on the center. I'm really into mythology, and I *could* go into the details of this picture, but I think I'll let it speak for itself.
