This is, in my opinion, one of my finest works to date. Oh, and before anyone nitpicks about the shortness of his arms...take a look at A) the shortness of the man himself, and B) the foreshortening involved. Sorry, I'm just tired of explaining that and then having people go 'Ooohhh, NOW I see it.'

Hey, I like this. The arms don't look too short to me. I really like the Japanese theme, though the dragon does have a hint of Chinese influence.

Good eye. Legend of the Five Rings, though primarily taken from Japanese myths, has a touch of Chinese mythology mixed in. In particular, the Dragon Clan have some heavy Chinese influence. -SCR

DRAGONS, yes! And those swords are cool. What are the differences between Chinese and Japanese dragons???

In General:
You are a truely talented artist. I hope you don't mind that I'm borrowing several of your pictures for character picts for my L5R campaign that's online? The quality is just amazing...

In Specific:
No, the arm's are indeed perfect for the size of the body. I think maybe the head is just a little too big (for all the critics of the arm length) and thats what makes it look off. Still a beautiful work.

On Dragons: Its gorgeous, as is all your work *smile* The main difference between Japanese and Chinese dragons is the style. If you've ever seen Dragon Ball Z or the like, thats more Japanses, where Chinese have are a bit more ferocious, have square-er heads and usually (but not always) smoke from their nostrils.

Power to the short people! Especially those backed up by a dragon.

This picture perfectly displays the Dragon's Niten style. Musashi himself probably never looked so good. Hmmm, that dragon would like great as a tattoo....

An ise zumi, correct?

:-) Sean C. Riley replies: "Actually, no. The ise zumi are tattooed monks. This fellow is simply a bushi of the Dragon Clan."

Wicked pic dude. Wud u mind if I used the dragon in a little comic I've been drawing? - Pretty Pleez?

:-) Sean C. Riley replies: "I realize this reply is a bit late-coming, but if it still applies...

You may use the dragon, but only if: A) the comic is non-profit, 7 I receive proper credit, and C) I get to see the comic when its done! 2"
