	This is one of my personal favorites. I tried to give the background the look of a Japanese ink painting, and keep the character himself soft so as to blend more readily into a less realistic setting.

Feist Daughter of the Empire books, so all your pictures are great. Sean C. Riley replies: "Actually, I hate to disagree with you...but this IS a samurai. -SCR"

25 Jun 2002	Dasa	Loading... Wonderful work. You have an amazing talent to display emotion in all your works on the site. A bushi of shinsei? Not your average sohei huh? Is that also a dragon mon on his arm sleve? Again, great work. Sean C. Riley replies: "He's kind of a bushi of Shinsei. He's actually a member of a minor clan that came into existence in an L5R game I played...the Mongoose Clan (and the mon on his sleeve is a Mongoose mon). But they ended up having very strong ties to a local monastery, and were permitted to bear the Shinsei mon as a sign of that connection."

Great touch putting the mon over his left breast, shows where his heart lies and is very... touching? Ahhh, words fail me when I am so impressed. Sean C. Riley replies: "Thank you for your kind comments. Indeed, the position of the mon is very important with this character in particular. Moreso than other bushi of his clan, he is a very spiritual, devout samurai."
25 Dec 2003	Hijikata <Supernamek2@	Loading... I don't know why people disagree with you, I think you're really good at creating samurai ^_^ this is a very good work. And your attempt at making the background like an ink painting succeeded. Do you do drawings for people? lol.
30 Oct 2004	Truth	Loading... You know, some small minded individuals dont understand that art is not fact or exact. It is what the artists perceives to be. Its what he wants the viewer to see and focus on. To bring an image to stand on paper or canvas from ones imagination or other reference is art. As is a story and that is why fiction is fiction and fantasy is just that fantasy. If someone wants exact details of a culture or image, thats what history books and biography's in your local library are for.
