Here is my latest work (as of september 2005)... no.. not the one on the left... that's me... the dude on the right. I'm just there so you can see just how big my creations are nowadays. I was inspired by the movie Pirates of the Caribbean. Jack Sparrow was the cute one.. but It was not the one who drew my artistic attention the most. That would have been Barbossa played marvalously by Geoffrey Rush. I didn't want to copy that but wanted to convey the same feeling he radiated. Not quite evil but a strong character with an mean streak. The clothes seemed to take forever to make, but I think it was worth it. In my opinion the best clothes I have made so far. Especially the blouse and headdress were distasters to make, but turned out just like I wanted it. The coat is a replica of a 16th century gentleman's coat which I found fitting for a pirate captain like this one. There is just one thing missing... can't keep calling him pirate all his life now can we. So if anyone has some suggestions how to name him... please, please let me know. For some alternative views/pictures see elswhere in my gallery.

NICE..!!
it reminds me of a friend lol, i think it is amazing how you've done it and i love the jacket it's fab. As far as names go i can only think of two that i have named my own pirates, either cpt.Cobra or cpt.Hawk, or at the other end of the name spectrum Mildrew lol.

What a beautiful creation, maybe you should call him barthallamew or Nathanal Jones Arragemaci, beautiful pirate though, I love Barbosa how about you, he is really hot!

Oh wow. Wow. Speaking as someone who does a little sculpture and a lot of costuming, seriously, wow. I have something new to bookmark and come back to when I'm in need of a little prodding. Y'know, kind of, "if I keep working, someday maybe I'll do something I like as much as this guy." Thank you very much for sharing him!
