I like roleplaying. It seems fairly popular here in the woods, so I'm not at all ashamed to upload some doodles from my roleplaying sessions. Our GM is the greatest. Anyway, this is my character Lissy. She is (or was, at the time) an unassuming young lady running away from home in an attempt to support herself with her phenomenal cooking ability (she's just that good) and free the oppressed masses while she's at it. A dopey, peace-loving girl. Anyway, the airship she was riding on received a help signal, the crew went to investigate and found a crashed ship guarded by trolls ... over a series of events, part of our group wound up in the troll camp. We were convinced that we would all be eaten - but lo and behold, the troll chief emerged, singled out 'the two women' (my character and her newly-met best friend, my friend's character) who had eluded his warriors and were only brought in when asked by their own men, and ... presented us with his son to raise. Mostly my character, since she's probably the only person in the entire crew with anything remotely resembling maternal instinct. The troll daddy told us that his tribe was dying out, and that he wanted his son to be raised by humans to adapt. We even got to give him a human name. Now, remember, I should NEVER be allowed to name everything...

I like how you drew the baby, I can't draw them The shading in this picture is also very good, just like in all you pictures. Ow yeah first comment dance Lauren 'Selie' Liebowitz replies: "Yay! Someone commented on Lissy, finally! I think that this is the best of my sketches in this gallery, so it makes me happy that someone's actually looking at it. I had a LOT of fun with the expressions here, and troll babies are surprisingly fun to draw! It's okay if you can't draw real babies... just draw an ugly baby and call it a troll, and you're set~"
30 Apr 2004	Sammy	Loading... Wow not enough comments! The expressions are priceless and your troll looks like one I've never imagined. (I usually picture nome-ish little guys or...well...LotR cave trolls, yah know?) He's cool! Enough said, I like this! Lauren 'Selie' Liebowitz replies: "Poor little Jacob is going to grow up in a human/elf environment, so I guess it's good he looks humanoid enough to function mostly-properly? I figure he's about as cute as a troll-baby can be. And I LOVED drawing the faces here. I wanted Lissy's face to be saying "WTF?!!?" with all the exclamation points and everything. Hee hee."
19 Nov 2004	Audrey S. Coates	Loading... This is great. I love the expressions on both of their faces and for some reason I think the troll is how I always pictured them. He's not all evil or snarly, just very very tall and big and kinda pointy-toothed. Excellent figure drawing. Did you use a model or a photo? If not, it's very realistic and if so, it's still really realistic. thumbs up Good job!
