"Shadows of Mystery" by Kelly R Hogan

This is a still life project from my art class fall 2009. The picture is split into 9 sections. I made some of the blocks overlap, and sometimes used 2 blocks for a particular scene. We had quite a bit of freedom, but the rule we had to follow was that the shading had to be black or white, no values in between. This was drawn with pencil only, 3B and 4B primarily. The colors are actually from the lighting through a window in my room when I was trying to take a digital picture of this. I thought the color added a little to the peice so I left it. Sorry it's a little blurry, I'm not very good at taking pictures, but it was too big for a scanner.

As far as references go, all items were either referenced from still life set-ups at class or at my home, including me in the feather mask.
