Which is a good reason to take care of it, and the trees, and never to apologise...the reality you live in is really what you make it. [nods sagely] One of the things I really admire about Tolkien (aye, I’m aware I’m rambling on a stranger’s page, but you looked friendly and if you don’t want to ramble back I’ll just bugger off again, no worries) is that he saw such horror in WWI - walked out of the Somme, even - and instead of being what his era thought of as "soberly grown up" and bitter about it he went home and wrote songs in elvish and stories about little furry-footed folk who were reluctant to travel but nonetheless brave... | |
