SciFi and Fantasy Art Trey by Katie ´Shaden´ Anderson

This is the nasty man out of my book, Trey, who held Sapphire against her will and then tried to marry her to the Warlord Torak as a reward for the man's help. Notice I said 'try'? Trey and Sapphire are great enemies as it is, but Trey shall make a decision which will put him directly against Sapphire in a way none of them have ever experienced.

It was only right that the drawings of Trey and Sapphire should go up together, even though Sapphire was finally completed ages ago. This darn picture took two months of work and it was only sheer grit determination which saw it through to the finish, I was sick of the sight of it. But it is without doubt the best black and white I've done, I also believe that I won't be able to beat it for a long time plus it's a man! But anyway, done in pencil and ink.

27 Apr 2004	Thomas H. Saxon	Loading... This is pretty good, though I noticed some thing odd about his upper lip. That, and his arms look too short. However, the composition is great, and I'm rather jealous that you had the time & patience to create that background... Katie ´Shaden´ Anderson replies: "The upper lip with the way it was done was a personal choice of mine; it was either that or he looked like someone stuck a pair of female lips on him! I'm very inexperienced in drawing males. As to his arms, they aren't actually too short, I measured them and followed the guidelines for length; however there is a fault. The lower arms are simply not bulky enough and it's giving it a slightly off look, especially as they are nearer to use. As for the patience; I had none halfway through this! Thanks for stopping by and commenting! "
