My pride and joy! Two weeks (approx 10 hours in the detailing process, being sculpting and painting) in the making! She was originally supposed to be based off an old role play charrie of mine (Triesa!) but then I got my hands on some gold paint..and..well.. I guess I can change her appearance for the sake of a sculpture. I was so worried about the feathers blowing up in the kiln though... so happy she came out without error!! And yes, each feather was laid on individually. (the blueish background, I painted that. yup. I've used that as a BG for pretty much all my sculptures actually.. and then just the random piece of cloth underneath) ~earth clay, acrylic paint~

Beautifully crafted, great detail. This is a great piece! What kind of clay did you use? Was it high or low fire? What type of pigmenting did you use?

Ok I'll stop the drilling. I really do love this piece. I'd like to know how you did the eyes.

She's cute! Definatley has character. I'm impressed with your patience with sculpture...there are far too many feathers there for my peace of mind. 2 Keep it up, it's nice to see sculpture in the woods for once.

That SHOULD be your pride and joy; it looks professional! Must've been a pain in the rear to detail that sucker. All that time paid off!

How much are you selling your sculptures for? I love how much detail you put in all your sculptures. You inspired me to get off my butt and start sculpting again!

nice gryph, I like the pointed feathers 2 usually you see round ones, but pointy ones in my opinion look better 2
