| 29 Jan 2007 | Alessandro Cristiano | Loading...really nice works... I like the style (watercolor right?) and the way you painted your subjects. Loving Tolkien's works makes me love your drawings too Shanith Outwood replies: "yep- watercolour apart from the odd pencil and wash pencil. Its my favourite medium as it is so good at expressing mood. " | |
| 8 Feb 2007 | Anne Wipf | Loading...Yes: a new (and talented) illustrator of the Tolkien's universe, I'm happy. Shanith Outwood replies: "Thank you... that means a lot!" | |
| 22 Apr 2007 | Natalia Nikitin | Loading...You have some lovely watercolous in your gallery, which, though technically imperfect, do transmit much emotion and a 'Tolkien' feel. Hmm... also you reminded me - it should be about time I re-joined the Tolkien Society. Shanith Outwood replies: "Thank you for your comments. I've obviously got some old and some newer work up here. I'd be interested to know which you think are the weakest and the strongest pieces. " | |
| 4 Nov 2007 | Samuel E Martens | Loading...You have a beautiful gallery. A real tribute to JRR Tolkien. I suppose you’ve already read Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series and was not so impressed. Personally I think he writes Conan books better than his Tolkien like creation, but he does have a major following. Shanith Outwood replies: "Being called a tribute to Tolkien is the highest compliment you could give - and therefore not deserved! But thank you anyway" | |
| 5 Dec 2007 | Richard Svensson | Loading...Elfwood has better Tolkien art than any official Tolkien page! Beautiful stuff, Tora; keep it coming. Shanith Outwood replies: "Wow, thats quite a compliment- thank you!! I think your Mewlips are awesome " | |
| 4 Jan 2008 | Larry | Loading...I really enjoyed looking through your work. I can hear your passion for Tolkien and his work in the words you wrote. I too love his work and have have read the Lord of the Rings over and over again through the years. And like you have struggled to put down what I see in my mind on paper. You give the reader a glance into your life when you tell about how you draw by candle light. Anyway I had to write to you because your words about yourself and your picture touched me in a way I can't explain. You seem to me to be an attractive, beautiful person. I hope you read this because it appears it's been a while since anyone wrote to you. That is my e-mail address if you want to drop a line. Thank you for sharing yourself with me. | |
