Blee-Drum

Half-Orc Half-Dark Elf

“Through hell and darkness, through battle worn, I am Blee-Drum, now hear me roar!”

Life was hard as a youngster for Blee-Drum. Not only was he an Orc, but also a ruthless Dark Elf. Many cities would rather die before letting a Dark Elf into their city. He was an abomination, even by Dark Elf standards. A mix such as his was unheard of. Long nights were spent crying on the cold ground, as he fell of into the world of dreams. Even in his dreams he was haunted. As he grew older Orchish warriors followed his mighty Shillr blade. Soon taverns were full of stories of the Dark Elf and his mighty blade. Soon as more gathered under his flag a war raged. It was known as the War of Magic Vs. Science. As a mercinary his band was hired throughout the war. The horrible sights he witnessed changed him forever. Sorcerers had done the worst things. Spells such as fireball melted people and set them aflame. Then they would run around the feild of battle setting others aflame. Before long many of his Orcish mercinary had been obliterated. Even in battle he was attacked by both sides at times. At these times he went into a flurry of swings, brutally hacking away at the humans while being shot with spells that prooved inafective on the crazed Blee-Drum. Soon he was known as a wizard Slayer, destroyer of magic. As the humans hired him, they paid him enough money to hire a battalion of warriors. Soon both sides began to fear him and on that day they made a plan to get rid of him. This was a secret truce between both sides and they were both bent on accomplishing this. During the battle at Misty Hills he felt pride as he rode in with his sword swung over his back. He came riding with nothing but a chain mail and some clothing. Looking around he saw people staring at him with hatred in their eyes. He now stopped smiling and the glow in his bright blue eyes left him. His white hair had gotten so long that it reached past his shoulders. It was a sunny day and he began to sweat, making his dark skin glitter in the sunlight. He got off his horse and walked over to the genrals of the human alliance. A dwarf sat there sharpening his blade and the Whyvern sat there watching as the events unfolded. The commander of the humans came up to him, greeting him and showing him to a seat. The battle was to begin at sun down, four hours from the time it was. The dwarf sugjested that he take a nap until then and he had one of the soldiers escorted him to one of the tents. Soon he fell asleep on one of the beds, allt he whil e being watched. As instructed he had one of his elite men go and kill him. As the man picked up his blade to cut down the greatest fighter ever seen at the time; Blee-Drum opened up his eys and with the speed that occompanied a Dark Elf , hit the man, sending him and the Whole tent into the air. He slowly got up and saw that it was one of the soldiers that served the Human alliance. Then as he was supposed to, another soldier ran screaming, “The Dark Elf killed Jason! The Dark Elf killed Jason!” Wide eyed, Blee-Drum stared at the limp body of the man he thought he had only knocked uncontious. Then more and more soldiers appeared and then the commander of the Human alliance walked up.

“What is all the commotion?”

“I think I killed him. I saw him lifting a dagger up to kill me so I hit him. I didnt mean to,”

Blee-Drum responded as the commander walked up to the man and stole the dagger showing it to everyone.

“You see the man is innocent,”

the commander shouted, trying not to show that it had been an attemp at an assatination by the other alliance and that he had not been involved in the whole affair. As the battle trumpets sounded they readied themselves and walked onto the battle feild, along with their beloved Blee-Drum. The orc would die for the man, because he showed them respect, something that most orc did not know what it was. The trumpets then rang a second time and with a shout him and his men screamed, “Through hell and darkness, through battle worn, We are Blee Drums men, Now hear us Roar,” they shouted as they slammed sword and sheild together. as told Blee-Drum ran a little bit ahead of them and they would supposedly storm from the sides to aid him. They ran to the middle of the battle feild and then stopped in confusion. There was no one in the battlefield. Looking around he saw archers lighting their arrows aflame.

“Were going to die,”

he shouted to his men. “Let us do it with honor. Do you remember what that is? Of course you do. If any of us live through this day, avenge us my brothers. Now to battle my warriors,” he shouted with all his might.

His men shouted and slammed their sheild and sword together. Then in one large wave they stormed the archers. As the neared then hundreds of arrows flew from every hill around. Their charge had been brought to half the amount of men, some even with arrows in them charged wildly hacking every single one there. Blee-Drum looked around and saw the general. He kicked his horse and rode alone off in his direction.

All bloody and cut up, he truly did look like a demon. He charged swinging his sword around with one hand and the other carrying a small sheild with sharp knifes attached to it, all bloody. Then the magicians shot every single spell they could muster. The Ice bomb had frozen him solid but then it shattered emmediatly because of the strengh of his spinning blade. The fire burned his clothing , but he still. charged. When his chain mail became too hot he ripped it off him and continued onwards. He came up to the line of men and they began to run off , fleeing as fast as possible. The commander stood there in shock as did the mighty dwarf. The whyvern had flown off now even being present at the fake battle. He walked up to the commander and grabbed his head. He began to squeeze and the commander screamed in pain like no other. In hope of rescuing the screaming man, the dwarf raised his axe to strike at Blee-Drum. Blee-Drum grabbed the side of the axe swinging it out of sight. His eyes glowed an angry blue and he grabbed the dwarf with the other hand and tossed him into a catapult that was released because the trigger went loose at the dwarf hit it. The dwarf flew into the air and landed shattering his spine. He died instentaniously. Meanwhile the commander layed lifeless on the ground, his face crushed so badly, that none would identify him. Blee-Drum run after the magicians and the rest of the soldiers that ran away. When he had cornered sevral magicians, he raised his sword to strike at them. With a scream one of the last of his men ran and jumped in the way of a man who was ready to strike at Blee-Drum. He had sacrificed his own life to save his friend. Looking down quickly he saw one of his men dead on the ground. Looking up he saw the man that had killed him. Then he knew that his man had jumped behind him to save him from the deadly blade. He dropped his sword and grabbed the man that had killed his friend. He then began to use him as a weapon, bashing apart the shaking magicians. One of them cried, “MERCY,” but then Blee-Drum gave the man a cold stare and sayed,

“Do you think my men had any mercy?”

He then raised the man and slammed him into the the magicians once more killing them. He then continued onwards to kill the rest of the poeple that had run away. No records were left from that day. MAny thought that Blee-Drum had died off somewhere in the hills. His body was not found, but he lived on. He would come back to avenge his men. Soon enough, he told himself.

“Soon enough my battle cry shall sound throughout the land and all shall know and fear me.”

Then standing in the mountains all by himself he screaming, “Through hell and darkness, through battle worn, I am Blee-Drum, now hear me ROAR!”

The screaming echoed throughout the hills. He would get his revenge. He knew it and so every day he healed more and more, and soon rumors of his return were whispered at the taverns worldwide.

The storyline on this is great, very impressive. I have never even considered the race combination of orc and elf and you blended the two of them well. I look forward to reading more, great ideas!

:-) Omri Gottlib replies: "Thanks! Your comment has inspired me to write the second part to this story, so you should be looking out frot he next part of the mighty Blee-Drum. Also if you cant really visualise what he looks like look for a picture of Drizzit Do Urden. Now a younger looking version of him is what he looks like. Also he has lots of muscles on his arms, chest, and stomach. "

This is really cool as well, you have some great ideas! I think you should try separating the paragraphs a little, putting one idea all in one paragraph, and then starting a new one. It all sorta runs together in your story in places. But its a really good story!
*Here is Blee-Drum, hear him ROAR!!*

:-) Omri Gottlib replies: "Thanks! Im going to asoon post up another one so be back"

Hmm, yeah, my stories could use a little work, but so far, the only ones that have anything to do with medievil times are the Strange Morals and Origins. I'll return to read the rest of your stories later.

I have one very good suggestion concerning this story. Burn it, bury it and forget you ever wrote it. Want me to list the reasons for this?

I'm very sorry about what I said of this story a year or so ago. Back then I was really immature and ignorant of many fine nuances of life. I wish to sincerely apologize - this story is in fact very good. Anyone thinking different shall face my wrath.

Yes, people, I actually have wrath. Is it that hard to believe?
