Fathom, the Water Dragon, moves beneath the deepest sea, guarding treasures he finds there.

Sketch drawn on freehand with marker.  After that it was 36 hours of blood, sweat and nowhere-near-tears.  ;)

Question:  How can people not see this is a dragon?  One woman even said "Oh, it's an eagle!".   She was so proud.  :)

Was / were these done on someone(s)' arms?

Either way, this is amazing and the colors are great.

12 Stacey "SharpTattoos" Sharp replies: "Yes, it is. It's one piece that goes all the way around. 1 Thanks so much. "

so totally NOT seeing an eagle..... wow, markers?

37 Stacey "SharpTattoos" Sharp replies: "Yup. 2 I didn't manage get a shot of the markers alone... but in the photo of the outline you can still make out the green from the markers. Progression is here: http://www.sharptattoos.com/progress13.html"

It's a real tatoo? Wow, it's oneof the most beautiful ones I've ever seen. Lovely colours and a very nice creature design! It's both beautiful, cute and dangerous at the same time, that dragon.

It's beautiful! It must have hurt quite a bit, too ^^ Will the colours stay as vibrant always or will they get duller with time? Thanks for sharing!

61 Stacey "SharpTattoos" Sharp replies: "Thank you! Painwise, it wasn't as bad as he or I thought it might be... 2 It will naturally dull over time, but that will take years. It's nearly four. He tries to keep it out of the sun (UV rays promote fading) and uses sunblock all the time during the summer. During the winter it's always it's brightest because there's no tan to muddy the colors. It's also large enough to prevent the lines from eventually widening- blurring together and obscuring the design, which is always a good thing. 1"

Wow, what I couldn’t comprehend for a while was the fact that its on your arm! I was like... what the hell is it going around?! So now I feel dumb. But anyway, that is phenomenal... way more ink than I’d want on me in one place. My simple black dragon outline thing only took an hour... I can’t comprehend what went into this. Absolutely beautiful though.

That is the coolest tattoo I have ever seen. If I were going to get one, I get that one.
