Shelby K. Irons replies: "Oh dear, I'm awakening things...I hope they are good feelings...thanks for commenting. I had hoped you would come and visit me sometime. : miles:: "

Mix some shadows, lurking evil emotions throughout your poetry when you say you don't need this or that, when you say "You've crept on me slowly....", this part would be a stun with something like, I don't know:"The shimmers I felt when your shadow struck my eyes..." "I hated your light that twisted my soul, until my dark heart was no more, born anew that is, you shed it's skin, now it's a place where you hide, your love from within." I'm not sure I made myself be understood here but really, a mix of darkness and romance is a killer to me! Try it and notice me, I'll come and read it.

I really like the flow of the poem in general, but I think that there is no sense of an ending. Poems don't always need endings, so leaving it as is, is fine, things that aren't resolved at the end just always annoy me.
| 1 Dec 2003 | Amber Silver | Loading...Very nice! For some reason when I read this, a whole story formed in my mind. The speaker was a woman who was seduced by a vampire. He is a gallant, wise man who offered her immortal life. She fears becoming undead, but at the same time she knows that her soul is his. Wow. Powerful poem! | |
