SciFi and Fantasy Art Dawning of Time by Sheona R. McCaig

Ever wondered what the universe looked like when time began? This kalidescope of systems, nebulae and planets is how I imagined that fresh beauty. Of course, what's to say that other races didn't develop far faster than us, travelling among the stars only a few million years after the universe's creation?

I was really pleased how this picture turned out, as the colours were wonderedfully vivid when rendered. The creation of the larger planet's rings and the comet were perhaps the most difficult aspects to create, and as a result took a few attempts before I was happy with the result. I'm almost definately going to come back to this spacescape soon to add in more scapecrafts, etc. Afterall, someone had to create these planets...maybe there's a factory like in Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy? ;)

The planets, moons, comet and galactic background were all done in Bryce. Lighting effects, lens flare and larger stars postwork were done with Photoshop.
