Death of Discworld... in colour! Same description as my other Death picture, (from Terry Pratchett's Soul Music, for those too lazy to click the link), but, in my opinion, the picture is much improved. I also took the liberty of putting him more on the stool, and I think that the colours help balance out the huge void of negative space behind him. I couldn't decide whether to colour Death of Rats or not. In the end, I decided not to - those who want to see him clearly can look at the B&W version.

(graphite pencil with digital colouring, 2004)

Very morose looking Death. Aww- he needs a cat and a curry. Well drawn, well coloured- but *sniff* SQUEAK?

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY!! It's my favourite character of all times! I looooooove Death! He's so cool and has such a personality. More personality than many living persons, I might add. Really nice depiction of our dearest Grim Reaper! Poor guy... trying to forget the future again and feeling more like a human, judging from all those bottles. And is that the Death of Rats on the floor? Pity he isn't coloured.

i think that this picture of the deaths is really amazing. you captured death really well in my eyes appart from when i saw him, his rode was a little looser around him.

is he drowning his sorrows in the mended drum?

oh and one more thing 1. some people say you should have coloured the grim squeaker. i think he is perfect sidling in near the back inconspicuously.

all in all a really fabby drawing! 5 stars!

this is one of my favorite scenes, tho it shows up a few times, Mort, soul music (i think?), death trying to get drunk and forget, while at the same time drinking the bar dry...brilliant!
it leads to the one of the only times an anthropomorphic personification(love that word) can say I FORGOT; I FORGOT HOW TO GET DRUNK. hee hee love the tones, and the background colors do fill in the negative space very well!

I love this scene! Death of Rats is adorable as well. Poor Death, he’s nice to the marrow - but does anybody care?
