SciFi and Fantasy Art lumpy mermaid thing by Shing Y. Khor

I was thinking of the part of the little mermaid story where she transforms into a human - and that somewhat led me to wonder how it would be if the little mermaid was rather lumpy and old and rather unpretty, and what if she was transformed into a similarly gnarled human. Anyway, I ended up sculpting a...lumpy mermaid in the process of transforming her gnarly fins into gnarly legs. I hope that made sense. If you want the technical stuff - she was sculpted from clay(b-mix with sand, if you want to get really technical), fired once, and then painted with watered down acrylics in the interest of simulating watercolours. It's probably staying this way, since I don't really believe that putting a coat of clear glaze on it and refiring it won't end up stripping off all the colour.
