This one made for my parents' 25th anniversary which on December 2000. Since Dragon and Phoenix are used to symbolized the relationship between man and woman, I thought it would be a good idea to draw them.

I love symbolism in pictures. I also like how these two are circling around each other, almost as if they're playing or dancing... Are those orbs eggs? I think I read somewhere that Chinese dragons carried their eggs in their claws.

This is really cool! i didn't know that bit of symbolism... i'll have to remember that... i agree, though- what are they carrying???

32 Shirley Ghozalli replies: "  Sumimasen, ohenji osoku natta.... What are they carrying? Well, according to a source, a rain dragon carries thunder balls or can be symbolized by it. So I draw its soulmate, a phoenix, with fire balls. All come down to a Yin-Yang principle. They are very often used to symbolized marriage 12 "

Lovely. Truly. That just about sums it up, Fire and Air in harmony because they need each other.

It is so beautiful, and the meaning is as beautiful as the painting. Keep up the good work. Thanks to people like you we get to appreciate more the things that we are still missing in our daily life.
