I have to disagree with several of the comments--I'm finding the aged look to seem extremely fake at the edges--while the picture itself is very good, and the way the 'scroll' gets darker near the edge, just the jagged 'falling-apart' bits look fake. I don't know if that's because the background is all black (maybe get a wood pattern or something underneath, to make it on a table?) and that makes every little piece stand out, or what, but the edges are bothering me. Aside from that, I like it. =D (and not saying this to be mean--just constructive criticism! <--*wanted to make sure no one gets mad at me*)  E. D. I actually came back and looked again, and found what it was that really bothered me about the aged look--especially in the bottom left corner it's pretty clear, but it's all over--there's some white/lighter brown spots on the very edge, right up against the dark brown of the aged part. I think it's extra clear BECAUSE of the black background--they might show up much less on a white background or at least a lighter one. It is because of the light edges that it looks fake, at least to me. I hope my c. criticism helps the next time you do this! I especially like the moncromatic browns. It gives the feel that it once was a very intense dramatic picture. Anyway, I really like this peice and I was wondering if you do any work based on Brazillian myths/folklore, because that would be really neat.
