SciFi and Fantasy Art Sketchbook Front Cover by Lara Laro Ryan

Final front cover design for the sketchbook challenge. The book will be publically displayed in New York when it's done and one spread from it will be submitted to a book of art for publication!

I wanted to draw something colourful that would interest people and encourage them to pick up my book to look at. Since my theme is Create and Capture, I wrote "Create" on the Dreikon's wing. The Dreikon is highlighted with sparkly gel pens so it shines in the light and the swirls are also sparkly gel pens. It will look great when it's covered with sticky back plastic and on the front of the book.
