A picture I painted for my art class. The topic was "violence" and I thought a sword sticking in the ground with a dramatic sunset in the background would fit.. but nobody understood it, they even tought it was a cross. Looks a bit like the intro to the PC-game "Diablo", doesn't it?
Watercolour (the ordinary ones) on paper.

I wonder why no one thought about the similarities of a sword and a cross being an ironic coincidence...

Love the idea and the colors! The dramatic sunset colors are suitable in many ways.. With the sword up front you can take it for a requiem of the former owner..

Hi gallery neighbor,
i really like the dramatic use of positive and negative space in the picure, and how the gradient sunset gives the sword in front of it more emphasis.

Keep it up.
