Hello, I thought it ironic that in your long reel of criticism on Hannah 'the spanner' Collins' page you told her to care about her commas and corrected "where are you, Kurt?" when it should in fact be "Kurt, where are you?" Furthermore, I read your "Pleasure & Duty" story...not bad, but why don't you try using speech marks?! eg. So soon, she asked = "So soon?" She asked... Réka Szabó replies: "The latter was intentional (though it was a hard decision and I may change it if many people vote against it) and it had to do with pacing. Believe me, I usually do use speech marks. You might find some decent ones in The Legacy of the Fair One  As for Kurts and commas, sorry, I think I've said it multiple times that English is not my first language. I may not be sensitive for such delicacies of syntax. I still don't see why that word order would be wrong, so would you (or someone) please clarify?P.S.: Are you, by any chance, Hannah's best friend? " | |
