SciFi and Fantasy Art Rusalka by Sindy ´Sin´ Ribalsky

According to east-Slavic folklore, a Rusalka is a water spirit or water nymph. They are the souls of young women or girls who died an unnatural or violent death. If the girl was murdered in or close to a lake, she would became a Rusalka and inhabit that particular lake. Rusalkas appear as beautiful young women who try to lure men into the water, where they will drown them. Rusalki can also be found on nights when there is a new moon; dancing on meadows or open places in the woods. With their shrill laughter they are capable of killing humans.

This is such a good picture of a Rusalka, that i totally lost my speach. The hair are green, as they should be, the trees are as they should be, the dress is perfect, so gothic. Even though here we usually dress Rusalky in a little 'less' cloth. Very beautiful, I must repeat: Amazing. Sindy 'Sin' Ribalsky replies: "thank you! 15 Oct 2005	Ori Sonnenschein	Loading... I love the coloring here, very cold very dark, it fits. I would sugest a couple of things, giving here a bit more motion (like walking or swaying or dancing) and showing here hands, you can do a lot with hands. Over all its very good.
