| 16 Oct 2003 | Adrian 'Aland' Reyes III | *first comment dance* Yay! Well, welcome to the Woods. I like everything you have here. One question, What is the Raven Clan? Frank Sirianni replies: "First off, Thanks! Secondly, the Raven Clan is an idea I've been toying around with since I drew the Talisman and I have them pretty much sketched out and characterized. Basically, they are a tribe of people that are very similar to Druids in their mystical and magical relatioship with the earth and nature. Their uniqueness lies with their relationship with ravens. Each member of the tribe appears to be wearing a raven on their heads, but the raven is the etherial spirit of a raven. When in danger or other reason, each member can merge thier aura or spirit with that of their raven to become a physical entity to do that members bidding, be it defence, spying on others, etc. The raven spirit and its host are as one so what the raven spirit knows the person knows. In effect, the person doesn't need to summon or transform as a Druid might, but it is more of a reflex response to thought. I hope this answers your question because I am trying to expand the whole concept into a full storyline and rework all of the artwork for the Clan.Again, Thanks " | |
| 17 Oct 2003 | Oliver Jöhnk | That's a great start of your gallery. Your raven clan talisman is my favourite of your work thus far. I like your centaurs, too, though I think you should have used black paper and white chalk for it. It would have been less effort to draw this piece. Anyhow, great art and keep it up! | |
