Casey R Cunningham replies: "Well, I have to thank you for pointing out the deliberately simple and Unfinished Background which I mentioned in the write-up at the top. As for ’crudity’ of the layout, some may feel that equating ’simple’ with ’crude’ may itself be an act of over-simplification. Nonetheless, I appreciate you taking the time to express your opinion in so forthright a way."

Some people look at something and think ’crude’, someone else looks at it and thinks ’stylish’. Just goes to show: art doesn’t stop when the ’artist’ puts down the tools. Thank you for commenting. I am pleased that I was able to provide you with a combination of images that stimulated contemplation and appreciation."

The pixelated graduated tone of red to black looks very hasty, like a paint program. If the shading was more artistically done, say with paint,, and the three images weren’t obviously cut-and-pasted together, it would be okay. I think what you were going for here was a stark layout to perhaps emphasize the brutal nature of the women’s personalities. Or just to look nice. and I respect that. but this.. I’d rather just see the tree images seprately, so I could admire them without the paint-tool background.
