| 20 Nov 2001 | Kim Nguyen aka Sita Atis | Loading...it's 6:43am and I just got up. Somehow I followed the scent to you. hee you know your characters have interesting stories.. I think that helps when creating a picture.. I don't have such a vivid imagination. Hey you're 20 like me too! and word up on the great taste in games! Yeah photoshop is a really cool program, I think you will get better with each pic because that is like me, I use to have this thing where I did all these photoshop tutorials and learnt what little bits of this and that did, though nothing is better than the whole paint and smudge technique ay? | |
| 15 Mar 2002 | Robbye N. Nicholson | Loading...Nice artwork. I pretty much love all the RPGs you stated: wasn't Alundra just.. horrid to beat? Samantha Kroese replies: "Thanks, and yes Alundra was a nightmare to beat. Ugh I still have dreams about those 3d jumps. Currently trying to beat the end boss on Xenogears...again..I've only managed it once and I think it was a fluke. *sigh* Thanks for the comment!" | |
| 6 Jan 2003 | Elizabeth A. Smith | Loading...I have to say you have some good pictures in here..I understand that you want your work copyrighted..But could you move the water mark? I dont want to sound mean but the middle kinda distracts the eye...But beyond that you have very nice pics.. Samantha Kroese replies: "Yeah I know the watermark is distracting, and I hate ruining my pictures with it but I got so sick of people stealing my pictures and using them as clip art and stuff. Putting it in the middle of the picture kinda ruins the whole picture for them, harder to cut out than it would be on the top or the bottom. Thanks for the comments, glad you liked my pictures. " | |

| 13 Apr 2004 | Blood Raven | Loading...I read that you had been discouraged by some nasty comments people had left. Well, let me tell you something about those people...They arent doing what makes them feel good about who they are. You are though, if drawing is what makes you happy, then good for you! Most people cant say that they are following their life's passion. Those people who criticize you for doing what is right for you dont know anything about anything. They enjoy hurting other people just to make themselves look good. Almost every single 'pro' as you call them didnt one day pick up a pencil and create what you see in their galleries. It took them years and years of practice. Being an artist myself, i can honestly say that if i took a drawing from now and compared it to something i did a year ago, you would be stunned at the difference. And it is because i practice every day. If you draw every day, and feel good about doing it, then sooner then later you will be a great artist, and a happy person who is following their life's passion. Keep up the good work samantha, and keep believing in yourself. Never give up, and dont let the conformists try and stop you! Samantha Kroese replies: "Thank you so much for your kind comment! Really made my night. I try to draw whenever I have time, just now started getting the urge to draw back. And you're right, I took down a bunch of the pictures I had up here at first because they just weren't up to what I can do now. Practice, practice..though if anyone finds a magic pencil that can draw my characters I'd be happy to take it! Alas my drawing falls behind my other two passions (writing and my real horse) so it's more of a hobby at the moment. Thanks for the encouragement, really makes a difference. " | |
