SciFi and Fantasy Art Andras - Dragasus Stallion by Samantha Kroese

This is Andras, my Dragasus (Dragon/Pegasus cross) stallion. And he has a background I did completely on photoshop whoohoo.

Colored him a different way than my other pictures so he's a little sharp looking against the background, couldn't be helped without redoing the whole picture.

If you want to use this picture for something please have the decency to email me first, I won't bite (but Andras will if you steal his picture!). :) He was drawn in pencil, then colored in Photoshop 5.0 with a mouse.

15 Oct 2003	Wendy Bittnerová	Loading... Fabulous idea for a pic...beautiful job on the background and the stallion! You might want to try working in layers, with the stallion on top and the background on the bottom. This way you can add some lighting and contrast to make the stallion stand out against this great background...he gets lost, as the background is almost the same color as he is. Choose a light source, then add shadows & highlights according to the direction the light is coming from. Or use a color variation to make him stand out...possibly a bluer background and a blacker stallion or even make the stallion a dark, deep purple...anything to separate him from the background. I really like this piece!

13 Jul 2005	Dakyu	Loading... Hey, really nice pic. One of the few artists who are willing to DO a dragasus pic, it was very well done. You made a comment about how sharp it looked against the backround. I believe (not 100% sure) that you might be able to fix that using a feather technique i learned on photoshop. It looks fine, though. ne way, nice work. i look forward to more of your pictures!
