| 1 Jul 2002 | Jerome Foster | Loading...I like it...he has a kinda cold look in his eyes...is that a centaur trait? Samantha Kroese replies: "Thanks for the comment! Yeah I guess he does kinda have that look in his eyes. Not sure if it's a centaur trait but Dante's rather serious anyway and if he's drawing his sword to protect his friend that'd definitely be why." | |
| 6 Jan 2003 | Elizabeth A. Smith | Loading...Wow i love the horse part of him..And the human half..But i love the way youve dont the horses body..I wish i could get mine to look like that Samantha Kroese replies: "Thanks for the comment! I've loved horses all my life and been drawing them all my life so the horse part was the EASY part. *laughs* Best advice I can give you is look at photos of real horses when you're drawing a picture, it'll help you learn their anatomy quicker." | |
| 2 Feb 2003 | L.A. Richier | Loading...Yay! Centaurs are beautiful! ^_^ Especially this one. I would have to give you some constructive criticism tho. Number one, that's a rather odd-looking sword, eh, should the blade be so thick? And number two, amazing nipples on Dante. Meep, ^^ are those rings or just his nipples? (Sorry if I'm being harsh or something, just wanting to know and help out) I very much appreciate the horse body and the position, both done extremely well. The cold look does him well! Good job, I like it. *hides* Samantha Kroese replies: "Thanks for the comment! The sword was modelled after a real blade, I can't remember which now. It does look thick, but I think that's because there's no space between the blade and the handle. As for his nipples...*laughs* they're pierced with rings." | |
| 13 Sep 2003 | Lucius Appaloosius | Loading...Dante, heh? Are you planning on having him visit the Underworld and meet a human named Chiron? But seriously....... I think if you'll look around, you'll find that the great majority of us centaurs have pointy ears (well, some may have docked them to appear more 'human': no accounting for tastes.......) Samantha Kroese replies: "LOL..don't know why I didn't reply to this comment..it's been so long. Actually he was sort of named after a centaur in a video game..but I shortened his name (Dantares from the game on one of the old Sega systems). Oh! They docked their ears..that explains all the centaurs I've seen with human like ears..what a shame. " | |
| 15 Oct 2003 | Wendy Bittnerová | Loading...Good proportions on this one...love to see it colored! Arm pulling out sword is a bit awkward and sword appears a bit wider than scabbard, still a nice piece! Samantha Kroese replies: "Thanks for all the time you put in commenting on my stuff, it was really helpful. " | |
| 17 Apr 2004 | Cloudboy | Loading...nice piece! His face and eyes are kind of akward, but he looks like he's ready for combat(or something). To me, he resembles courage and strength, from his head to his nipple rings to his horse hooves! GREAT Samantha Kroese replies: "Thanks for the comment! Yeah, I know his face isn't the best..still trying to learn how to do those. Glad you liked him and thank you so much for taking the time to comment!" | |

| 5 Jun 2006 | Alice J Rogers | Loading...Dante is the name of my nephew! It means enduring in Italian, just thought you would like to know! | |
