The mermaid (or squid girl, not quite sure what to call her) Is really stunningly realised...the details of the scales and facial features, and the blend of primary colours and black is vivid, powerful and utterly gorgeous in its sense of vision. It manages to create a sense that sunlight has filtered down from above, and -just- dwindled away in a cool glow before reaching her, making the scene both ethereal and real, just like how everything seems underwater. I just love the composition and the mixture of colour and shape. Watercolours the way they're meant to be used Meh, I could go on for a long time about how much I like this one, so I'll sum up... the vision, composition and execution were all perfect. This is a wonderul piece. Anna Skult replies: "...You came back! And, you left another wonderful comment! Squid girl, indeed *grins* I can't quite say what the heck she really is, but that's what's so good about fantasy, if you ask me - you don't really have to know everything ..I'm a bit amazed that you were able to find so many poetic things to write about the picture, stuff that I was aiming for when painting, but that I didn't quite think I succeed in capturing. So thanks for that! ^__^ I so totally love you for the comments! *grins, and pokes* Ehm... right. So yeah, thanks! *pokes again, and quickly sneaks off*"

One of the more eye-catching pieces in your gallery. ~#G Anna Skult replies: "I’m glad you like it ^_^ And I have this urge to redo it again, even if this is supposed to be the redone version. I just wish to find out if I have enough skill to make it even better! ...though the question is; do I have enough time? Sigh. Thanks for commenting! =)"
