	Do you know night sky? Dark like only in winter can be? He is the warrior of the sky... Keep yourself warm near the small fire with friends and wait a while for the dark. Then look above you to the sky and you vill see the stars born. And the biggest and nicest among them - Stars of Orion. And once try to sleep under the winter sky... Done in coloured pencils.

14 Oct 2006	Sdixon	Loading... Wow... that is so good! I love to look for constellations (what little few I know), and Orion is the first one I ever saw. I love how you depict it in this picture; rising up out of the fire's smoke into the night sky. Great work!

I'm afraid I would freeze during that same night I'd try to sleep under winter stars (I'm fully able to tremble by cold in the middle of the summer ), but apart from it, I love this picture. Mostly because I love Orion and I love those gatherings under the stars and near the fire - and you managed to capture the feeling of them. Beautiful picture. Alena Alja Škutchanová replies: "If you go out in the winter, you are prepared better - sometimes I was freezed more in the middle of summer (prepared for warm night and it was about 5°C above zero!) than while sleeping in two sleeping bags under the stars of winter sky in the middle of January. (xixixi)"
28 Nov 2007	Sam Adams	Loading... MAGICAL!!! Those stars always seem special, they makes me think of Orome. Perhaps we have only mistranslated them as Orion...Middle Earth is REAL!!!! Alena Alja Škutchanová replies: "Maybe... I was never thinking about how much is Middelearth real, because this world is for me magical enough, like this moment, which I wanted to capture. This picture was drawn as a gift for one my friend to remember one almost surreal night near the fire in the middle of winter. Look, the sky is dark and full of all that stars, and it depends just on you, if you will call them clasically or in the language of elves. "
