But for some touch of reality, I doubt he would stretch his arm on the injured side upwards. It would have to be painful and I'm afraid it would worsen the wound. Alena Alja Škutchanová replies: "Yes it is natural that this location of wound skin structure makes it to open more (medical detail). But think: If you vere injured, surely you would cleaned it. It hurts, so probably you would held something (branch to stop the reflexive movementto the wound. And do what is needed."
