It's hard to fly with just one wing. <br> Here's my attempt at taking some advice from Tony DiTerlizzi and underpainting in coffee. I have no idea where she came from, but she's going away as a prize for our Medieval Society's Highland Games this year. 2001.

It's really a great pic, but there is something not quite right about her left leg. I think that in this pose you should be able to see her upper leg.

...oh..I see what I did! You're right, you should be able to see it, and you could see part of it right by her skirt, but I accidentally painted it in!...thanks for pointing it out!

*sheepishly* I cross myself as I show myself to truly be one of the uninitiated when I say: I really like the feet and the hands being all big and wonkity. They're cute. So there! ;->

Wow! I love the style of this! She looks so fierce and so very powerful! Fantastic job!

Coffee? O__o Heck, this must be the weirdest thing ever! OK, once I made a painting with soil and blueberry, so... ^^ But the coffee really seems to add some texture and as I'm looking for watercolor advice, I'll try it too! Thanks, I would have never thought of that! ^___^ The picture is great, by the way. I love those colors...

Its really good and I love it and all, but some advice on her leg. See how its curving up slightly? Lay yourself down in front of a full-length mirror on the floor on your back. Watch as you push yourself off of the floor with your arms to get up. You'll see your leg curve down from thigh to knee instead of up--kind of rounded like. Its the same with this pic. That's the only anatomical flaw I see tho. Love her shin guards--I want some! 2 Great work!

I like the pose and the forshortening. It has a very ominous feel. Nice work! *smiles*

The style and execution are perfect. So, how do you fly...

You know Tony DiTerlizzi personally? You do?!? That´s not fair.... nevertheless, this is a cool painting. I always find watercolouring hard without linework around it. 2

Well, there's a one-winged angel in Final Fantasy VII who can fly. Actually, he flies WITHOUT the wing. Coincidentally, he has long hair that could almost "substitute" for a wing like this one.
