Over the vast expanses of the moonlit jungle, a mythical protector watches over, hidden in the breath of the wind and the rustle of the glimmering leaves.

hehe, shiny...  This was a scratchboard project that we had to do based on pictures of birds we were looking at in my high school Art Club.  I picked an American Kestrel, but, instead of doing the whole bird, I changed it into a gryphon halfway through.  It turned out VERY different from my usual birds (see Skystar) since it was based on the photo, but I am rather pleased with the results nonetheless.  The photo of it here isn't the best; I'll upload a new one as soon as I can.

I don’t see many artists using scratchboard these days. Very nice technique.

This is ausome it looks so alive it could jump out of the screen, I especialy like the spiraly thingies on the wings and head.

BTW: Are you a firefly fan?
