I have the utmost respect for women. In fact I have a difficult time thinking of anything I respect more, but if they're walking around half naked, I'm not gonna complain about it. Being a woman myself (and i know quite a few others of my kind would certainly not agree), here's how I see it: if you've got the body for it (which Maedlyn does), why not?
