22 Dec 2002	Sarah Hudson	Loading... ooooo bricks... and another pretty dress! Impressive clothing you manage to do. It might sound strange but I really like the little candle on the wall. The clouds outside the window seem a bit surreal for the rest of a realalistic picture... L.S. Engler replies: "instantly hugs Finally, someone noticed the little candle! I don't know why I like it so much, but that was one of my favourite parts of the picture, too! Also, the "scene" in the window is stained glass. Symbolism, because the Hawk is for the element of Air (clouds), and it's the same design as that on the sleeves of her dress."

I'm not sure I would have noticed it if you hadn't pointed it out (but it's better that way, symbolism is always more satisfying when it's subtle), but I like the way the stained glass design matches her sleeves, referring to her fragility I suppose? She looks like a dreamer to me, eyes looking into the distance for, what? Hope?
19 Mar 2003	Samael	Loading... Ah, so beautiful, and yes, she does look very delicate too. Gentle is the word, her expression conveying a sense of... innocence? I notice her sleeves are done much like the window, symbolism I suspect, knowing you. The background is quite nice without taking away from the subject of the image, who is spectacular. One of my favorites. L.S. Engler replies: " read some of the other comments; the workings on the window and her sleeve are intentional symbolism, as mentioned before."
