Laura Skylie Engler

SciFi & Fantasy Fiction and Stories by Laura Skylie Engler

Laura is an enigmatic thing that desires to be an author almost more than anything else. Unfortunately, her desire probably interferes with any talent even trying to approach her.

I've now read all of your stories and I really enjoyed them! I like your writing style a lot and your poems are wonderful. Have you read any Mercedes Lacky? I think you have a similar style and since she's my favorite author that is supposed to be a compliment! Keep it up and I hope you update these stories soon or I may go nuts from trying to guess what's going to happen next! 2

*shakes head in amazement* i can't believe this! Your people seem to make your scenes more real... My scenes always seem like cardboard backdrops to me. I think you may have answered my plea for an idea for a sequil, too! Thanks!

Skylie, my friend (you will always be Skylie to me), I have read a few of your works, and I admittedly am jealous of your two pronged attack. Able to use the hands of an artist, and the voice of a poet. What the he** are you doing to me? I am humbled by your skillful use of words to transport the reader to another realm and make them feel as though they are there. Unable to leave because you have locked the door and thrown away the key. They are subject to your beck and call until you have chosen the time for their release. Freedom of speech is hindered by the ability to convey the thoughts and feelings of the subject's mind into words. You have no such shackles. If you are ever published you would be my favorite author. Cheers, and I will be back to further comment.
By the way, first comment dance for myself. Never been to Wyvern till now.

Hi! I found you via Erik's suggestion about swapping comments in the Elftown writing forum. I must say, I have enjoyed very much the three pieces I've read from your library (The Audience and the two Merciless pieces). I tried to leave comments that were as well-rounded as possible! *grin* I have to go actually do my job now (I'm at work) but I will be back for more!

Thanxs for getting promision to use my name..

:-) Laura Skylie Engler replies: "No problem. Thanks for being aware of a phenomenom called "coinincidence." But no time for that right now; I've got to go be stupid about people using the name "Laura" in any of their stories now."
